How much fragrance oil does your wax need?

Enter your wax weight and a fragrance load %, in grams or ounces, and get the fragrance oil amount and total pour. Or work it the other way: enter a fragrance amount you already have and see the load % it comes out to.

Your pour

Most candle waxes run a fragrance load of about 6–10%. Enter your wax weight and the load you're aiming for.

Typically 6–10% (about 1 oz of fragrance oil per pound of wax ≈ 6.25%). We flag anything above 12%.

Enter a wax weight and a fragrance load % to see the amounts.

Already measured out a fragrance amount?

This is a quick sanity check, not a safety or compliance rating — candles aren't covered by the IFRA soap tool's limits. Maximum usable fragrance load depends on your specific wax (soy, coconut, paraffin, blends) and fragrance oil, so always check your suppliers' recommended maximum and burn-test a small batch before scaling up.
