Terms of Service
By creating an account or using Alchemis ("you", "the maker"), you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Alchemis is a production, inventory, and compliance tool for small-batch makers. Features and limits depend on your subscription tier and may change over time. We provide the service "as is" and aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Enable two-factor authentication for better security.
- You must be at least 16 (or the minimum age in your country) and able to form a binding contract.
- We may suspend or limit accounts that violate these Terms, are involved in abuse or non-payment, or where required by law. A suspended account may be placed in read-only mode (you can view and export, but not create or edit).
3. Workspaces, ownership, and your data
- Your business data lives in workspaces. The workspace owner controls membership and is the account responsible for the workspace's subscription.
- You own your data. We claim no ownership of the recipes, batches, inventory, sales, or other content you create. You grant us only the limited rights needed to host and operate the service for you (store, back up, process, and display your data to you and your authorised workspace members).
- Third-party data. If you store personal data about your own customers, suppliers, or consignment partners, you are the controller of that data and we are your processor. You warrant that you have a lawful basis to store it and will comply with applicable data-protection law. Our processor commitments are in the Privacy Policy; a Data Processing Agreement is available on request.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- New accounts may receive a time-limited free trial of a paid tier; no card is required to start.
- Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. Prices are shown at checkout (currently in EUR).
- Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
- Failed payment may result in downgrade to the free tier after a grace period, and over-limit resources may become read-only until you resolve billing or reduce usage.
- We may change prices or plan limits with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law; infringe others' rights; upload malware; attempt to breach or overload the service; access other tenants' data; resell or share access beyond your plan's seats; or use the service to store unlawful content. Alchemis helps with regulatory compliance but does not provide regulatory, legal, or safety advice — you remain responsible for the safety, labelling, and legal compliance of the products you make and sell.
6. Account deletion
You may delete your account from your account settings (requires password confirmation). A 30-day grace period applies, during which you can cancel by signing in or contacting us; after that the account and its sole-owned workspaces are scheduled for permanent, irreversible deletion. If you are the sole owner of a shared workspace, transfer ownership or remove members first. Exported copies you downloaded remain yours.
7. Intellectual property
The Alchemis software, brand, and content (excluding your data) are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service per these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: the service is provided "as is" without warranties; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data beyond our backups; and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for death/personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important data (use the export feature).
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, legal requirement, or to protect the service. You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we will post the new version with a revised effective date and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], and disputes are subject to the courts of [COURTS], without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
